COMPONENTS:

Enclosure

The BL3 enclosure surrounds the microscope stage and objective nosepiece, creating a stable temperature environment without affecting focus or exposing sensitive electronics to heat. Sliding doors with double layer (dark and transparent) allow viewing of the sample without affecting its temperature and provide access by opening the transparent layer.

  • Efficient, ductless dual heater design: gets to temperature 50% faster while also reducing system footprint.
  • Temperature uniformity ±0.1°C at sample plane.
  • Temperature uniformity of +/- 1C inside the cage enclosure. No need for cumbersome objective or under-stage heater.
  • Dimmable red / white LED light inside the enclosure to view the sample in a dark environment.
  • Folding front panel and sliding windows allow easy access to the sample and to any part of the microscope.
  • Magnetic access ports to reach objectives and peripherals.

Micro-Environment Chamber

  • The BL3 micro-environment chamber maintains precise humidity and gas conditions at the sample plane. 
  • Natively holds multi-well plates without the need for additional inserts, simplifying setup and ensuring compatibility with a wide range of experimental formats.
  • Interchangeable sample inserts accommodate any type of sample vessel.
  • Embedded high-precision temperature sensor ensures sample-feedback accuracy without the need to manually position any thermal probes.
  • In-chamber sensor for complete sample feedback provides an unprecedented level of accuracy and repeatability – ensures reliable environment where it matters most – AT THE SAMPLE PLANE.

Controllers

The BL3 Controllers are designed to deliver precise and reliable environmental control inside the cage incubator, ensuring optimal conditions for long-term live-cell imaging.

Each configuration combines advanced temperature regulation with optional closed-loop CO₂ and O₂ gas control, allowing users to choose the level of environmental management that best suits their application.

  • CO₂ measurement range: 0–20%, accuracy ±0.1%
  • Humidity measurement range: 50–99%, accuracy ±3%
