Mix your own high-accuracy hypoxic CO2 gas with Okolab’s Tri-Gas Mixer – a dependable and smart solution for benchtop incubators that require an input of pre-mixed gas. Designed for sensitive IVF applications, it’s the ideal device to deliver gas to multiple mini incubators, or into laminar flow cabinets.
Use the intuitive touch screen interface to set your desired CO2-N2-air mixture. Thanks to a high-accuracy gas sensor module, CO2 and O2 always remain at ± 0.1% of the setpoint.
Tri-Gas Mixer stores the mixed gas in the included tank, and delivers it at controlled pressure in the range of 0-2 barg (0-30 psig). Delivery pressure is easily regulated by adjusting the pressure gauge, embedded on the front of the mixer.

CO2-O2-MODULE
and Calibration
Purchase of Tri-Gas Mixer automatically includes a CO2-O2-MODULE, which contains the CO2 and O2 sensors.
CO2-O2-MODULE measures the CO2-O2 volume concentrations with high accuracy, allowing automatic fine-tuning of the output gas. Each module is calibrated in Okolab’s factory using certified gas cylinders, and includes a factory calibration certificate. CO2-O2-MODULE has a 5-year lifetime.
It’s easy to keep the gas sensors’ calibration up to date without any downtime for your mixer. Okolab recommends re-calibration of the module once per year – this can be performed on-site using the intuitive software routine and an external meter. Or, the module can be easily extracted from the Tri-Gas Mixer (and immediately replaced with a spare, if available) and sent out for factory re-calibration. We offer a worry-free yearly sensor replacement service, OKO-CARE, where you automatically receive a newly-calibrated sensor once per year.
In both cases, there is no need to disconnect or turn off the Tri-gas Mixer – gas supply to the incubators will not be interrupted.



Automatic Weekly
Sensor Maintenance
Tri-Gas Mixer features an automatic software procedure which periodically checks and adjusts the CO2 and O2 sensors’ offset, to ensure its accuracy in between yearly re-calibration. To take advantage of this feature, simply keep a small cylinder of pre-mixed calibration gas connected to the mixer – choose a gas concentration that’s close to what you use during standard working conditions.
The automatic maintenance procedure (“self calibration”) periodically runs in the background, to regularly correct for small amounts of drift, thereby maintaining high accuracy in the mixer’s operation. If desired, the user may also run the procedure manually using the intuitive touch screen routine.
Tri-Gas Mixer always sends the proper gas to the connected incubators, even during the self calibration procedure.
Available Models
Tri-Gas Mixer is compatible with any bench-top incubator available on the market.
The mixer is available in two size models, with maximum output flow rates of 1.5 L/min and 15 L/min. The actual delivered flow rate automatically adjusts to match the requirements of the connected equipment.
For applications only requiring CO2, we also offer a dual gas, AIR-CO2 version (without N2 input, and without O2 measurement and control).

Safety Features
Tri-Gas Mixer features advanced safety routines to ensure that the incubators always receive the proper gas.
To enable the safety routines, the user must also connect a premixed backup cylinder, containing gas of the desired concentration.
The mixer will automatically switch to the premixed backup gas cylinder if any of the following conditions occur:
- Pressure in the mixing tank becomes too low (for instance, due to the incubators’ gas output requirement exceeding the mixer’s maximum capacity)
- Pressure of any of the input gasses becomes too low
- Target gas concentration cannot be achieved


VOC Filtration
Include filtration of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to your mixer’s capability.
Okolab’s VOC-IN-BYPASS module saturates you newly-installed VOC-FILTER with CO2 before using it with the gas mixture.
Remote Data Viewer
Tri-Gas mixer features wireless and ethernet connections. The remote data viewer allows:
- Alert of any alarm condition, sent via email
- Remote data access
- Data history tables and charts
